One of my decisions for the New Year was to read more non-fiction. Nonfiction is more general than educational that I always liked. Because being a music fan, I decided to start with music biography.
Recently I listened to all my old kiss records and revisited young people, so I began to read on that band. Because all four former members wrote a memoir, I made each request at the nearest branch of the county library.
The first thing to arrive was Makeup To Breakup written by Drummer Peter Criss. Ten information I learned about him and the band here is reading that book.
1. He received a drum lesson from Harry Chapin's father. Harry Chapin had recorded a big hit like Cat and the Cradle and a taxi.
2. A guitarist Ace Frehley (talented artist) was also an artist who designed the shape of thunder with the last letter of the band.
3. His girlfriend was proud that he had an affair with Warren Beatty, he said he shot two bullets on the TV screen where the actor appeared.
4. Criss and his wife borrowed a house in Los Angeles, owned by a famous horror actor, Vincent Price, who also appeared in devilish hits by Alice Cooper and Thriller by Michael Jackson.
5. During the concert, Chris threw a base stick of Bass Gene Simmons once and hit him behind his head.
He and Ace · frefrey were faced with severe physical violence, which had ironically made friendship.
7. The top 10 Beth was written as a joke at the bandmate's wife called Becky. He checked him regularly by phone.
One of his favorite friends was John Belushi, an actor who was at the peak of the fame of the award winning musical The Blues Brothers, Saturday Night Live of the NBC series, comedy masterpiece film Animal House, the award - winning musical The Blues Brothers.
9. Actors Tom Arnold and Rosanne Barre were such a devout kiss fan who was trying to find him when heard rumors that Chris was wandering as Los Angeles as a homeless man.
10. Lead singer for his band, Cat # 1, Mike Stone, later became a front man for Queensryche.
Additional information can also be found in a split makeup that serves as a great trivia item. For example, Criss mentioned in Chapter 12, the song I like is the Hotel California of Eagles.
