 Haysham's historic manor -2

Willen Hall is now a public house near the coastal medical center, originally built in 1598 for the Edmonson family. It was in 1662 that Helen Edmundsson was baptized there. Like Sam Bailey lent a large house, it was not until 1803 that the house had been known to change.

In 1811, Richard Caton took over and offered it from Sam Bailey.

It was when officially became the property of Robert Heskez in 1814 and he used it as an executive executor.

Heisham Tower

This building was originally built as part of the Losar Hall Foundation, owned by Robert Heskez. He lived there with his wife Mary and his children, but he used it only as a summer house.

After Robert died in 1824, the house was handed over to his eldest son Peter, but within four years he handed over his sister to Anna sister. She married Thomas Norris in 1828, and the couple expanded the building two years later.

Mr. Norris was the driving force for the change, including:

- library
- Large dining room
Astronomical tower

Unfortunately, Mr and Knowrs lived in an extended house for ten years before Knowles died. He was shot by bullets, but the reason for this injury has not been publicly recorded.

Mrs. Norris lived there until 1870, but it must have been left before living in Bristol in Florence prior to the 1881 census. Her daughter and son on the law obviously took her and lived with them.

In 1881, it was the property of Mrs Bennet and Mrs who lived there with my daughter. By 1891, they were replaced by the Cawthra family.

Haysham Hall

This was a large structure built for Ann and Thomas Rawsthorne in 1839. Because they had ten children, they were obviously a fertile couple.

Unfortunately, Thomas lost money due to his unwelcome investment while he was working as a lawyer. It may be the reason for why it was sold in 1854.

Officially, the house was intended to go to a gentleman gentleman according to sales advertisement, so it seems that Thomas' financial problem is behind the sale.

Heysham Hall had many rooms.
