Unlike loans, grants do not have to be repaid. For many minority students, like African Americans, attending college would be virtually impossible due to economic hardship.
Community and public colleges are not much less expensive. And morehouse College in Atlanta, GA gives grants based on academic, program major, and athletic excellent. They also have aid for students who excel in music. Times, National Black Nurses Association, Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and state and federal government agencies. Contributors from the corporate world include AT & T, Xerox, and Bell Labs.
