Captain Lindsay House of Lindsey Street, an attractive hotel in the main province of Maine, just off main street in Maine. We are publishing stories and recipes from hundreds of hotels and ryokans around the world. There is one common thread that interworks the most successful facilities each time. There is no problem if it is an old fishing boat on a distant island and the finest hotel in Paris. It is people who own and operate the inn.
Captain Lindsey House is very special. The current inn built by Captain George Lindsay in 1832 is loved and restored by the present owner, Ken and Ellen Burns. On Ken and Ellen's first name base, Ellen meets Rockland's Cape Air flight. They spared the cost and details so that the inn would most like to welcome the inn that we experienced. During your stay, Ken and Ellen get up in the morning to make sure you are comfortable and well-fed.
It felt like an elegant but homely, elegant old England, the captain of the captain of Maine. It rained in the afternoon of June, a fireplace arrived in the fireplace. The scent of fresh picked roses and what I love from the sweet and oven filled the room. The host Patricia blessed the warm herbal tea with English Chinese cups using handmade raisins and oatmeal cookies. You can sink into a comfortable bedroom before or after unpacking. I feel like I am at home.
The award-winning restaurant, attractive shops, galleries, museums, golf, lighthouse, spa, lobster boat, schooner, lovely harbor decorated with windjammer, but we are the best calm at European style hospitality Enjoying enjoying the beauty. We came for another surprise when we entered a lovely sanctuary filled with the most contemporary amenities such as antique and Egyptian cotton towels. It is not altogether like home.
I met on breakfast the next morning. After fresh locally produced fruit, juice, fragrant coffee, you can eat special eggs of Innkeeper, Patricia. This breakfast ended with a spear of country ham and fresh asparagus. Every morning Patricia offers flavored, homemade sweet dishes such as French toast of authentic maple syrup and homemade big rhubarb and strawberry jam stuffing.
Captain Lindsey House is one of the four historical inns of Rockland in Mainland. You can visit the other three historical properties. Each has its own unique, delicious food and stories to tell. You can spend time in the kitchen with each host, sample homemade dishes and learn about history.
Rockland and Captain Lindsay House are places of all seasons. Although our schedule of travel books is rarely a second visit, we can see that in January 'Pies On Parade' every year we return windjammer cruises and pie samples as frequently as possible. I would like to say that we rediscovered that we have to offer the town of Rockand and all of it. But recently Bobby Frey and Rachel Rei were also in Rockland, so we think that word is out!
