Overcoming the fear of getting organized ... something really stuck me when it's really a fear that keeps us from not putting things where they belong, from not putting those labels on those boxes, from saving a file on the computer without giving the proper file much thought?
What are we afraid of? Why would be uncluttered be such a bad thing? What is the worst possible consequence of being well organized and prepared?
Clutter keeps us protected, and is usually a visible step, to try something while they are not sure what they are of our inner state of mind.
BUT when we begin to clear spaces, to let go out of dated, broken, unloved or unnecessary stuff, this is usually a cluttered and insecure on the inside. helps us to free our mind, organize out thoughts, take a deep breath and explore our new found options.
We might as well ... :-) This is some getting used to - but what the heck.
After all: No matter how much we hide behind our clutter, we will never be happy, confident and comfortable until we faced our challenges and found a way to master our lives.
