Bob Sandlin Lake is a 9,400 acres lake in eastern Texas. The state park covers 639 acres of woodland along the coast of the lake. Originally this land was established by the people of Kaduan from 200 BC to 1700 BC.

Beginning in the late 1700's and early 1800's, explorers in France and Spain became local tribes and trading partners and built relationships with Kado, Choctaw, Cherokee and Kikkapu Indians. The land around the current Bobsandrin Lake is best known for agriculture, pastures and recreation.

Bob Sandlin Lake is about 65 feet deep and its water level changes about 2 to 3 feet per year. Water transparency is evaluated as good at depths of 2 to 4 feet. The lake is located southwest of Mount Pleasant, Texas.

On the lake there are many real estate opportunities. Many families have docks and boat houses. The house around the lake is generally considered to be the second house, but some are occupied all year round.
